One of the hardest truths in life is that we don’t always get closure the way we were hoping for. It doesn’t matter what the situation is. Not getting closure from the adversity we’ve faced always finds a way to leave us feeling hurt. The thing about getting that genuine closure that we all deserve is that it’s an internal battle. We think that in order to get it someone else has to write the final chapter for us. The truth to that is we can’t allow others to dictate our personal journeys. Putting that pressure on someone else to write our happy ending will just leave us feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled. No story is perfect. We all make mistakes along the way. Unfortunately those mistakes can sometimes leave permanent marks. Those permanent marks are things we should try to avoid creating because any mistake can lead to those type of marks if we don’t make an effort to grow from our mistakes. In order to truly get closure we have to write our own endings. More importantly we need to make sure we’re writing the ending that makes us happy. It’s not an easy thing to do because the past can be so hard to let go, but creating that closure for yourself will bring you a peace of mind. Don’t change for anyone except yourself and make sure that change is for the better. Don’t worry about what others think of your personal journey. Our personal journeys focus on what’s inward. It’s focused on gaining internal vindication. Make sure your story is written how you want it to be written. Also make sure the final chapter is something you can be proud of. We’re all capable of creating any type of story we want in our lives and we should embrace that. Embrace all the ups and downs because without them there is no purpose to the closure you’re seeking. In a year where the true colors of everyone was shown we need to make sure we don’t lose focus on what we want our characters to truly be. Because our characters aren’t defined by our perceived reputation. It’s defined from what’s truly in our hearts. The bigger your heart is the more it will show in your character to those around you. You reap what you sow in this world and your actions are a direct reflection of who you are. Remember that we create our own closure in every situation and our actions reflect just that. Providing yourself or others lip service won’t manifest any closure in our lives. It’s our perseverance and actions that will. Backing up our words with actions is the only true way to gain clarity to the fears of the unknown. It’s hard to climb to the top of the mountain with all the obstacles in our way. There’s a lot of heartbreak along the way, but it’s the roadmap that gets us to the destination that validates our journey. So don’t be afraid of your personal journey because the destination is your closure.
